Anti-SPAM
Spammers Are Not Welcome Here !
It is not OK to SPAM anyone, at anytime. SPAM is a plague on the Internet. We all know it when we see it.
What Is Spam?
Ask 10 different people that question, and you’ll get 10 different answers.
The textbook definition: Unsolicited Bulk E-mail (UBE). You can read more about this definition at Spamhaus.
UBE points out that some things that are OK to do on a 1-to-1 basis are not OK to do in bulk. For instance, a new store might send a single E-mail about its products to a customer after their first visit to the store. UBE is helpful, but it is not enough in our opinion.
We won’t try to define every form of SPAM, but let’s look at just a few things that we consider spamming.
Things We Will Not Do:
- Send E-mail to people who have not specifically requested information from us.
- Send E-mail with links to irrelevant websites.
- Use E-mail lists that are purchased, rented, leased, or in any way bought from a third party.
- Allow ANYONE else to purchase, rent, borrow or use our E-mail list(s).
These aren’t the only things that we consider to be spam(ing)
If you believe you have received SPAM from Tid-Bytes, or a Tid-Bytes author, visitor, or Community Member, please forward the E-mail to us at abuse(AT)tid-bytes(DOT)com.
Please tell us why you believe the message is SPAM. We take each SPAM complaint very seriously and will investigate each one promptly.
If you have any questions about Tid-Bytes Anti-SPAM Policy, we will gladly answer any questions for you. Just contact us!
