Commenting
The Tid-Bytes Commenting Policy
The Tid-Bytes Blog represents the “Voice Of Common People Everywhere.” In doing so, we invite lively and productive discussions to take place on the Blog. Visitors and Community Members can participate in these discussions by making on-line comments relating to the posts of our authors, and to the comments of other visitors and Community Members.
We acknowledge that many of our visitors and Community Members will have different opinions from those expressed by our authors, visitors and other Community Members. We fully anticipate that a lively discussion can and will take place in our on-line Community. We firmly believe that such a discussion is not only necessary, but crucial to our free society and culture. However; we also believe that the discussion can ensue, without attacks on the character of any individual(s) or people groups. In other words, we can “disagree agreeably.” It is for this reason, that we have adopted this Commenting Policy.
First, we pre-moderate all new (first-time) comments made on the Blog. This means that the first time a visitor or Community Member ads a comment to the Blog, it is reviewed by the Tid-Bytes editorial staff before it can be viewed “live” on the Blog.
After their first comment has been approved, an individual is then able to add new comments immediately to the Blog as long as those comments continue to adhere to the policies of the Tid-Bytes Blog.
All previous comments from an individual will be removed from the Blog if we find that any comments made by said individual do not adhere to the policies of the Tid-Bytes Blog.
Next, we do not censor comments based on political, racial, or religious point of view. We only remove comments that are abusive, off-topic, use foul language, or include attacks against another author, commentator, individual, or people group.
And finally, the Tid-Bytes Blog reserves the right to delete (remove from public view and the Blog) any comment(s) made on the Blog by any individual, person, or group; without notice; if in its sole opinion, the comment is not suitable for our audience and/or community for any reason.
Our goal is to provide a Blog that is safe for all audiences and appropriate for all ages. The comments on the Blog do not necessarily represent the beliefs and opinions of the Tid-Bytes Blog staff. We strive to provide a wide variety of thought and opinion on the Blog, while attempting to ensure that these thoughts and opinions are expressed in such a way as to not attack (flame) other visitors and Community Members.
Please let us know how we are doing.
